“As a Nurse Practitioner, I believe in providing best care for patients with a combination of Eastern and Western medicine. By treating my patients with a holistic health approach, I can use a medicine background and offer recommendations with natural alternatives. As a provider myself, we are trained to treat symptoms with pharmaceutical medications but that does not always treat the underlying issue. With vitamin therapy, we try to improve symptoms in a natural and holistic way.”

Julie L. Caruso, MS, FNP-BC

Nurse Practitioner in Family Health

Frequently Asked Questions?

Are vitamin injections safe for the body?

→ Yes, vitamin injections are generally safe and very well tolerated. They are naturally stored compounds found in the body from food sources. By getting an injection, it allows your body to better absorb the contents for easy distribution into the body and surpasses the GI tract.

Should I have my vitamins levels tested before having therapy?

It is recommended to have a baseline level established with your doctor. However, it is not necessary to have vitamin levels tested prior to therapy. Vitamins are all naturally stored in the body and by raising your levels, the body will take the amount that it needs, and excrete out the remaining amount that is not used.

Are vitamin injections safe for pregnancy?

→ Yes, vitamin injections or IV fluids are an alternative for someone who has hyperemesis gravida (excessive morning sickness). It is always recommended to discuss with your OBGYN prior to receiving treatment. We can offer pregnancy safe vitamins such as B-complex, B12, Folic Acid, Magnesium and IV Zofran for Nausea.

How long does it take for an IV?

After a short consultation with the Nurse Practitioner to discuss your specific needs, consent paperwork is signed between you and the NP. The IV is a short process and takes about 40 minutes to infuse.

Recommended therapy...

Each vitamin has different recommendations to maximize the benefits and achieve therapeutic results. Most people feel an increase in energy with B12 shots after the second injection.
